TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSIONUndergraduate applicants must submit official transcripts from all secondary/high school institutions, colleges, and universities. Please view the information below to help ensure that your transcripts are properly submitted and meet our criteria. For questions, please contact us at evaluations@soka.edu. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTSTranscripts and other academic records must be issued directly by the records/registrar’s office of your previous school(s). Official Transcripts must be officially sealed envelope without indication of being opened or show potential tampering. Unofficial college/university records, such as student portal print-outs, are accepted only for the First Year admission application and admission review. These can be uploaded in your GoSoka! Account. Documents not in English will require English translations. Applicants must provide the English translation as well as the original document. All translations must be complete and literal with no attempts to interpret or evaluate the document, prepared in the same format as the original document, and signed by a translator attesting to familiarity with the foreign language. Dual-language transcripts are also acceptable. INTERNATIONAL TRANSCRIPTSApplicants who completed their previous studies outside the United States must check our country-specific requirements list below. CREDENTIAL EVALUATIONS (OPTIONAL)Applicants who have a credential evaluation (or want to have one conducted) for their transcripts can have their documents sent from a NACES member agency to Soka University of America and must meet the "Official Transcripts" standard. Evaluations must include all transcripts associated with the evaluation. Evaluations that do not contain transcripts will not be accepted. SUBMITTING OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTSThe Office of Admission will receive transcripts that are submitted via one of the following options: 1) Official e-transcripts can be sent from the sending institution to Soka University of America through Slate.org (High School Counselor login page).
2) Official e-transcripts can be sent to Soka University of America from your sending institution via a secure site formally linked to your institution. (E.g., Parchment, Scoir, Navience, Common Application, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.)
3) Send official print transcripts via postal service/mail or courier. Transcripts sent by mail must be in an officially sealed envelope without indication of potential tampering.
