Patricia Gibson is the Director of the Office of International Student Services at Soka University of America (SUA). Patricia also serves as an international admission counselor to answer inquiries and support international applicants interested in applying to SUA.
Patricia started her career in education as an English language instructor teaching high school and university students. Over the years, Patricia has worked as an international advisor supporting international students and scholars at various capacities at the university level. Patricia has worked with international students, scholars, and professors guiding them throughout their journey to and in the United States supporting their pre-arrival, arrival, and completion of program.
Patricia is an active member of the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA) and presents at conferences every opportunity available.
Patricia earned a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Teaching and a Master of Education in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master of Arts in Second and Foreign Language Education from Soka University of America.

Jaimie joined Soka University of America’s Office of International Student Services in Fall 2021. As a southern California native, she graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and with a double minor in Linguistics and Education. She is passionate about connecting with international students and cultivating a diverse cultural campus to foster global citizenship. Having participated in a study abroad program in the Netherlands, Jaimie loved being able to travel to nearby countries, meet locals, engage in new cultures, and try so many different types of food. Outside of work, her interests include immersing herself in nature, photography, and learning to live a more sustainable lifestyle. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and taking up artistic projects such as pottery and crocheting in her free time.
