The Office of Admission requires an essay with your application for undergraduate admission. Below is our required prompt. You may submit your essay within your GoSoka! account, or Common Application if you used this method.
Your essay should be double spaced.

Required Essay Prompt (500-750 words):
The philosophy of education underlying SUA’s BA in Liberal Arts curriculum emphasizes the development of wisdom over the mere accumulation of knowledge. Why does this interest you and how do you see it shaping the work you want to do in the world?
Additional Optional Essay Prompt:
An optional essay can be submitted
in addition to your required essay. You may not substitute the optional essay for the required essay.
